Solar Hybrid System

In the hybrid solar system, the energy produced by the solar panels is initially used to supply the electrical appliances. Once the household’s energy needs are met by solar power, it is then used to recharge batteries in the solar system. If there’s still an excess in solar power, the surplus can be sent to the electric grid for credit. The picture above illustrates an AC-coupled lithium battery but hybrid systems could be constructed using lead-acid or lithium-based DC batteries.
